Our 4 Favorite Trends for Spring/Summer 2019

Everything You Need To Get Your Workwear Closet In Shape
Spring/Summer 2019 is almost here, and it’s ready to take over your closet! From London, to Paris, New York and beyond, we have compiled our favorite looks from the runways of the fashion capitals of the world. And although the temperatures outside are still way too cold, it’ll start warming up before you know it. And warmer weather means you’ll be able to strut your stuff in the latest fashion trends, so scroll down for your personalized cheat sheet.
1. Neutrals
Beige and tans and nudes, oh my! Neutrals are coming back in a big way for Spring/Summer 2019. We know, neutrals can be a bit boring, and the last thing you want to wear coming out of winter. But we’re not suggesting you make your entire wardrobe neutral, or even an entire outfit! There are plenty of ways to incorporate neutrals without being boring; layer that beige trench over your favorite (lace!) dress, or try a basic white top with faux leather pants and bright heels to make an outfit that slays. It’s a versatile trend that you can have fun with and mix up with some of the other trends on this list.
2. Ruffles
After a (long) hiatus, ruffles are finally back, being one of the top fashion trends for Spring 2019. You may look at ruffles and think they’re frilly, uber-feminine and dated, but we saw several bold examples of this trend towards the back-half of 2018. For example, NYFW gave us a yellow/white Carolina Herrera gown with massive ruffles, a beautiful Rodarte tiered evening gown, and even Michael Kors threw their hat into the ring with black tulle ruffled pants. These are some examples of how versatile ruffles can be, and there are plenty of other examples that breathe new life into this trend.
3. Lace
We’ve seen lace as a staple for trends seen in the Spring/Summer 2019 shows. There have been many beautiful lace dresses in the marketplace, and we don’t anticipate it going anywhere anytime soon. We also love the way lace is being colored and patterned, as we’re seeing black lace with flowers, bold blues, bright yellows, and clean white. And while the weather is still freezing, layering outerwear is always a welcome touch to your lace outfit.
4. Vacation Escapism
Have a bad case of wanderlust, but can’t afford to travel every month? Lucky for you, Spring/Summer 2019 will have you looking the part with a trend that is vacation-inspired. The look is comprised of easy, comfortable apparel made for traveling, made up of pieces such as Bermuda shorts, Sarong-like wrap skirts, loose-fitting tops/blouses, and comfy rompers that help create a carefree aesthetic. This trend is made for festivals (think Coachella) and self-expression, focusing on individual style and creativity. But whether you’re exploring the city streets of Rome, taking a tour of Puerto Rico’s coastline, or simply going to your local beach, you’re covered with the comfortable versatility of this fantastic trend.
